We are looking for an Insurance (LA&H, P&C) and Financial Services industry subject matter expert to join our industry team as a thought leader to play a key role in our Go To Market strategy and ongoing market launch activities in these critical verticals. This position will report to our Global Head of Industry. You will provide key insights and expertise about Insurance carrier and Financial Services company processes, products, systems, and priorities to guide our overall Go to Market movements, as well as product/platform innovation, sales growth, marketing, and customer expansion strategies. The ideal candidate will be highly collaborative, able to both think strategically as well as dive into details and tactics as required to establish thought leadership and industry domain expertise. They must be adept in both written and verbal communication, and confident to represent Ushur as a thought leader within their verticals, and support high level executive conversations in partnership with sales and customer success. Continuous learning, flexibility, and initiative are key to success as a member of our industry team. They must be adept in communication, flexibility, relationship-building (internal and external), laser-focused, accountable, and a self-starter. 

What You'll Do

  • Provide Insurance and Financial Services thought leadership across the Ushur team, keeping abreast of key developments and emerging needs/pain points that Ushur can solve
  • Deepen Insurance and Financial Services industry knowledge across our Sales, Marketing, Product, Solution Consulting, Customer Success, Engineering and AI-labs teams through both structured training and day-to-day interactions and support
  • Provide ongoing support to the Global Head of Industries in Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) refinement as well as Total Addressable Market (TAM) and related growth projections
  • Ensure Ushur products and solutions are keeping up with market needs, and orchestrating communication about these solutions in a market-relevant way
  • Act as an Ushur brand ambassador through meaningful interactions within industries, including through social media, blogs and events (webinars, tradeshows and customer-facing)
  • Assist the Sales team in identifying meaningful customer journey phase support and use cases for target accounts, contributing to presentation collateral, providing insight into the buyer’s point of view, and participating in prospect and client meetings
  • Contribute to the Customer Success team’s focus on growth with our customers by identifying and presenting use case expansion opportunities
  • Assist our Solution Consulting team to design high-volume platform demonstrations
  • Provide feedback to the Marketing team on marketing campaigns and plans for written and multi-media collateral, along with authoring blogs and contributing to our hosted and field events
  • Work with the Product and AI labs teams to identify new platform capabilities with strong product potential in insurance, including identifying buyer personas and mapping out product functionality needs
  • Support the Engineering and AI Labs teams in their creation of new insurance-focused features, including guidance on credible data sources for machine learning enhancements and large language models
  • Contribute to the industry team’s creation of standard work and scalable processes

What You Bring

  • 8+ years of progressive insurance experience with demonstrated go to market growth planning, launches and results
  • Financial Services experience in banking, lending, and/or loan servicing preferred
  • Possesses a deep understanding of how technology is leveraged both within insurance and financial services, and how they interact with their policyholders, claimants, borrowers and other key stakeholders
  • Insight into the regulatory and other compliance drivers that impact Ushur within these industries
  • Familiar with how insurance carriers and financial services companies select and procure technology and solution providers
  • Strong background in process improvement and customer engagement best practices is a plus
  • Experience with creative problem solving
  • Proven ability to translate complex ideas into usable business concepts, and translate those across the Ushur team
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
