As part of the Group’s strategic plan, the Industry Coverage unit is strengthening its capabilities to originate and support the execution of opportunities with our corporate clients across Europe and Middle East.

About the Role:

As a Senior Associate you will work closely with senior bankers to drive client engagement, support the execution of strategic transactions, and contribute to the development of industry insights that underpin our client relationships. This position offers a unique opportunity to build a solid foundation in corporate and investment banking by gaining exposure to high-profile corporates, cross-border mandates, and dynamic industry sectors.

Key responsibilities (Main tasks and responsibilities of the role):

Business origination:

  • Develop and prepare pitch materials, client presentations, and industry analysis to support senior bankers in new business origination.

  • Conduct company valuations using methodologies such as DCF, trading multiples, and precedent transactions.

  • Build and maintain detailed financial models to support strategic recommendations.

  • Perform sector research, benchmarking, and peer comparisons to generate insights that inform strategic recommendations.

Transaction execution:

  • Assist in the execution of live transactions across different solutions (M&A, financing, and capital markets) alongside product teams.

  • Contribute to internal approval processes, including preparation of materials for risk committees and transaction reviews.

  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure deliverables are met under tight deadlines.

Management support:

  • Help manage client relationships through follow-up tracking, targeting exercises, and preparation of tailored insights.

  • Maintain client pipelines, internal databases, and CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce).

  • Support internal committees with the preparation of business reviews, client coverage plans, and sector strategy materials.

  • Monitor industry newsflow, earnings announcements, and macroeconomic developments, preparing concise digests for bankers.
     

Qualifications (Academic background, previous experience, languages, technical knowledge, soft skills ):

What we are looking for:

  • Strong academic background (Finance, Business, Engineering, or related fields).

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.

  • Strong technical foundation, with proficiency in valuation techniques, Excel and PowerPoint, financial databases (e.g. Bloomberg, Capital IQ); financial modelling skills are an advantage. 

  • Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information clearly.

  • Highly motivated, proactive, and collaborative mindset, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, international environment.

  • Fluency in English; other European languages are a plus.
