The Opportunity

We are currently looking for a Material Handling Industry expert to join our dynamic Integrated Systems Group (ISG) as an Industry Consultant, based in our Notting Hill office in Melbourne. The role will involve working closely with our Design Estimating and Sales teams to develop integrated solutions that are leading edge, cost effective and competitive in their offering.

This position allows for hybrid working arrangements, (WFH & office) in support of teamwork.

The keys responsibilities include:

• Working with customers to understand their key requirements

• Analysing customer data and developing models to determine the preferred option(s)

• Contributing to the development of suitable conceptual designs in-line with customer requirements and Dematic's capabilities

• Providing design and technical support to the Sales Team as required

• Preparation of proposals and tender submissions

• Client presentations to concisely communicate the link between insights from analysis and the integrated solution

• Evaluating proprietary tools available for analysis and modelling

• Managing consultancy projects to budget on time

• Reviewing functional specifications for system software during the sales cycle

• Ensuring compliance with relevant procedures

• Ensuring smooth and complete handover of contracts and orders to the project manager

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for a positive team player that has the drive and ambition to develop their career in a growing, global organisation. To be successful in the role you will need the following:

• Tertiary qualification in an engineering related discipline (highly desirable but not essential)

• A Supply Chain background with strong analytical experience would also be considered

• Extensive experience within and knowledge of warehouse/distribution centre operations and the Material Handling Industry as a whole

• Warehouse/distribution centre system design experience

• Industry product and/or application knowledge in Logistics and Automation

• Advanced proprietary software skills (Excel, PowerBI, Knime)

• Excellent time management skills

• Strong Communication skills

• Analytical thinking and strong numerical skills
