We are seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician with a strong electrical background to join our team. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining industrial machinery, electrical systems, and facility equipment to ensure smooth and efficient operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in electrical systems, automation, and mechanical maintenance within an industrial setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive maintenance on industrial equipment, including motors, conveyors, PLCs, and electrical panels.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues, including wiring, circuits, switches, and control systems.
- Diagnose mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic problems and implement effective solutions.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Install, maintain, and upgrade electrical and mechanical components of industrial machines.
- Work with PLC programming and automation systems for troubleshooting and modifications.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety regulations and company policies.
- Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
- Document maintenance activities, repairs, and part replacements in CMMS or maintenance logs.
- Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime and improve efficiency.
Qualifications & Skills:
- High school diploma or GED required; technical degree or certification in Industrial Maintenance, Electrical Engineering, or related field preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in industrial maintenance with a focus on electrical systems.
- Strong knowledge of electrical troubleshooting, including 480V systems, three-phase motors, and control circuits.
- Experience with PLCs, VFDs, and automation systems is a plus.
- Familiarity with mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to use hand tools, multimeters, and other diagnostic equipment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team.
- Willingness to work in a manufacturing environment, including overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Electrical Journeyman License or equivalent certification.
- Experience with robotics and industrial automation.
- Knowledge of lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures and NFPA 70E standards.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in confined spaces or elevated areas.
- Comfortable working in environments with noise, heat, and exposure to moving machinery.
- Ability to stand, kneel, and climb ladders as needed for maintenance tasks.
