Job SummaryThe Industrial Sewing Training Associate is responsible for training new and existing employees on the proper use of industrial sewing machines and production techniques in accordance with company standards. This role is crucial in supporting production quality, efficiency, and safety by ensuring all operators are properly trained and able to meet performance expectations.
Key ResponsibilitiesProvide hands-on training to new hires and cross-training to current employees on various industrial sewing techniques, machines, and processes.
Demonstrate proper machine setup, operation, threading, and maintenance procedures.
Monitor trainees' progress and provide regular feedback to help improve technique, speed, and accuracy.
Evaluate operator performance and ensure they meet established quality and productivity standards.
Collaborate with supervisors and quality teams to identify training needs and process improvements.
Maintain training materials, records, and documentation for compliance and tracking purposes.
Support a safe working environment by enforcing proper ergonomics and machine safety protocols.
Assist with developing and updating training manuals and visual aids as needed.
2-10 years of experience in sewing techniques and as a sewing machine operator.
Proficiency in sewing machine setup and operation.
Strong understanding of production processes and quality standards.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to provide constructive feedback and support to trainees.
Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.
