Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking Industrial / Principal Industrial Engineer. This position will be located at the supplier site in Elkton, MD.
*Please be aware that this position is contingent upon capturing program award(s) and obtaining and maintaining associated business and/or customer funding .

Primary responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:
- Analyze lead times, queue times, work-in-process, cycle times and throughput to meet customer demand efficiently.
- Build scalable, sustainable models to optimize product flow while respecting cost, schedule and resource constraints.
- Develop and implement optimized scheduling tools and align SAP/MRP systems with executable plans under capacity limits.
- Incorporate complex interdependencies across cost centers, programs, equipment and tools into planning models.
- Partner with IT, ERP, business-analytics and data-science teams to define requirements and system frameworks.
- Work with developers to design an interactive user interface for scheduling jobs across multiple cost centers.
- Lead digital-transformation initiatives that align with sector and enterprise strategies, employing iterative and agile methodologies.
- Drive continuous-improvement and change-management efforts using agile practices.
- Create new metrics and visualizations to monitor shop-floor performance with modern data-visualization tools.
- Serve as the primary technical liaison with senior internal and external stakeholders for program-level decisions.

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
Basic Qualifications:
T02: 2 Years with Bachelors in Industrial Engineering, Industrial & Systems Engineering, Operations Research, Data Analytics, or related engineering field ; 0 years with Masters.
T03: 5 Years with Bachelors in Industrial Engineering, Industrial & Systems Engineering, Operations Research, Data Analytics, or related engineering field; 3 years with Masters, 1 year with PhD
Required for both levels:
• Must have U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain an interim Secret Security level clearance pre-start, with the ability to obtain a final Secret Security level clearance post-start
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
• Demonstrated experience in industrial engineering or manufacturing workflow optimization, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project, Excel (macros, pivot tables), and data-analysis/visualization software.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Defense-industry experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and ERP/MRP tools such as SAP, Oracle, or related platforms.
• Proven ability to develop advanced data visualizations and dashboards using Tableau or comparable tools.
• Demonstrated use of agile project-management methodologies and successful collaboration with cross-functional teams in a defense or industrial setting.
Primary Level Salary Range: $79,600.00 - $119,400.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $98,900.00 - $148,300.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
