Position Summary

Our client is seeking a skilled Industrial Millwright to support maintenance and production operations at their Colborne facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for preventative and corrective maintenance, equipment repairs, facility upkeep, contractor oversight, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Maintain and execute the facility’s preventative maintenance program and complete corrective repairs as required.
  • Support maintenance and production teams to ensure high standards of safety, housekeeping, product quality, efficiency, service, and cost control.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, replace, and fabricate mechanical and electrical equipment, including pumps, valves, hoses, and related machinery.
  • Perform mechanical maintenance, machinery repair, pipe fitting, plumbing, welding, and other millwright-related duties.
  • Maintain the facility, buildings, and property in accordance with corporate standards and applicable regulations.
  • Monitor contractors to ensure work is completed safely and in compliance with health and safety legislation and company procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment inspections, maintenance activities, and repairs.
  • Participate in the facility’s on-call program once the required knowledge of equipment and processes has been established.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • High School Diploma required; Technical/College Diploma preferred.
  • Certificate of Qualification as an Industrial Millwright Mechanic required.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant industrial maintenance experience.
  • Strong experience in several of the following areas:
    • Industrial machinery maintenance
    • Mechanical repair
    • Pipe fitting
    • Plumbing
    • Welding
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Knowledge of applicable provincial/federal environmental, occupational health and safety legislation.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical specifications, manuals, drawings, and equipment documentation.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent time management, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and respond effectively to maintenance issues.

    On-call participation is required.
