What You’ll Be Doing:
- Troubleshooting automated manufacturing equipment using multi-meter, hand tools, and computer software
- Create documentation for equipment and/or training
- Repairing and maintaining MIG welding equipment
- Reading of schematics (electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic)
- Document changes to schematics/update in Autocad
- Repairing equipment on an as needed basis
- Network systems communications through IP address
- Lead improvement projects for equipment updates
- Support maintenance PM program with technical knowledge
- Use of knowledge and understanding of basic welding fundamentals
- Shielding gas type and ratios
- Circuit continuity confirmation
- Calibration of voltage, wire feed rate, and gas flow
- Understanding of weld fume health impact
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, industrial, electrical or manufacturing engineering and 12 years of related experience in an industrial manufacturing environment OR 20 (or more) years of related experience
What Sets You Apart:
- Understanding of safety procedures
- Understanding of complex PLC instructions and function block usage, able to troubleshoot and make changes as needed (experience with Omron, CJ/NJ, Allen Bradley, Siemiens, Fanuc PLC’s preferred)
- Working knowledge of Complex electrical controls and circuit analysis
- Working knowledge of safety controls including light curtains and safety scanners.
- Able to connect and troubleshoot safety PLC/devices and repair/replace as needed
- Working knowledge of variable frequency drives
- Basic knowledge of robotic applications with PLC integrations (Motoman robotics experience preferred)
Where and When You’ll Work:
This is an in-person role located at our Greene, NY location—ideal for those who thrive in a hands-on, team-oriented environment.
This position will have unscheduled overtime to complete assigned jobs to ensure meeting of production goals
What Your Total Compensation & Benefits Package will look like:
Salary - $106,880 - $135,000 per year. Compensation depends on the selected candidate’s education and experience.
Relocation: This role is eligible for relocation assistance based on current location
