Researches, plans, and designs mechanical and electromechanical products and systems, and directs and coordinates activities involved in fabrication, operation, application, installation, and repair of mechanical or electromechanical products and systems. Troubleshoots mechanical designs, assemblies and component problems and implements corrective measures. May assign tasks to other mechanical engineers and provides guidance with schedule, cost and specifications. Incumbents define objectives and interpret policies and objectives established by staff senior to the immediate supervisor and determine their effect on design and development requirements. At this level, the incumbent independently plans, designs, and carries out work to be done and often serves as a technical authority

- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Safety Engineering, or related field.
- Reading comprehension of technical documents
- Previous experiences
- Minimum three years of work experience in automotive development (Hardware or Software), industrial, manufacturing or industrial safety engineering
- Languages

Skills Required
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Safety Engineering, or related field
- Minimum three years work experience in automotive development, industrial, manufacturing or industrial safety engineering
- Reading comprehension of technical documents

- Second language (recommended)
- Knowledge of safety and risk assessment analysis (PFMEA, MFMEA, Ergonomic/Hazard Assessments)
- Functional safety management experience per ISO26262, ISO13849, IEC62061
- Familiarity with OSHA, ANSI, ISO 12100 and local safety regulations
- Safety functional Performance Level (PL) calculation and safety device definition
- Ability to validate guarding, interlocks, lockout points, pinch-point protection, emergency stops
- Experience creating hazard and risk analyses and safety proofs
- Throughput analysis / Discrete Event Simulation (DES) model participation
- Experience verifying line installation and commissioning against safety requirements (on-site checks)
- Experience preparing technical files and CE certification documentation (declaration of conformity)
- Investigate tooling-related incidents, near-misses, and implement corrective actions
- Ability to deliver training to operators, maintenance technicians, and engineers on tooling and safety
- Technical report creation and general-purpose IT tools proficiency
- Probability and statistical analysis skills
- Moderation and participation in technical design and safety reviews; close cooperation with project teams and customers
- Knowledge of machinery maintenance requirements and manual/instruction development
