Key Responsibilities:

Assists with the creation of standard work methods for new and current production lines. Role Summary

Industrial Engineer responsible for improving productivity, optimizing processes, and driving cost efficiency across manufacturing/operations through data-driven analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze current production processes and identify improvement opportunities (cycle time, layout, manpower optimization).
  • Drive Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and Six Sigma initiatives for productivity improvement.
  • Conduct time studies, method studies, and line balancing to enhance efficiency.
  • Improve OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) and reduce downtime.
  • Develop and maintain Standard Work Instructions (SWI) and process documentation.
  • Support layout planning and plant optimization (space utilization, material flow).
  • Monitor and improve KPIs: Productivity, Cost, Quality, Delivery.
  • Work closely with Production, Maintenance, Quality, and Supply Chain teams.
  • Support new product/line introductions and process validation.
  • Identify and implement cost reduction projects (manpower, material handling, cycle time).
  • Ensure adherence to safety and ergonomics standards.
Required Skills
  • Strong knowledge of Lean tools (5S, Kaizen, VSM, Line Balancing).
  • Basic understanding of Six Sigma / DMAIC methodology.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel (data analysis), PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of time study tools (MOST, MTM preferred).
  • Exposure to manufacturing KPIs like OEE, RFT, productivity metrics.
  • Basic understanding of AutoCAD / layout tools (preferred).
Educational Qualification
  • B.E / B.Tech in Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering.
Experience
  • 2–4 years in manufacturing / operations environment (automotive preferred).
