What You Will Be Doing:
This position will support the design, maintenance, and optimization of Helion's high volume Capacitor Bank manufacturing facility. The role will work closely with Industrial Engineers, Manufacturing, Production, Facilities, and Supply Chain teams to create and maintain accurate factory layouts, production line drawings, and material flow documentation. This role will report to our Principal Industrial Engineer at our Everett, WA office.
You Will:
Own and maintain the factory master layout, ensuring all facility, equipment, storage, utility, and ownership changes are accurately reflected and documented
Create, update, and maintain detailed factory layouts, production line drawings, and facility maps
Perform field measurements and verify factory floor conditions to ensure layout accuracy
Update ownership maps, equipment locations, storage areas, utilities, and production workspaces as changes occur
Support Helion with factory expansion projects, production line reconfigurations, and material flow improvements
Develop and maintain layout standards, drawing libraries, and revision control processes
Collaborate cross functionally with Manufacturing, Production, Facilities, and Materials teams to capture and document facility changes
Assist with space planning, workstation layouts, equipment placement, and storage optimization efforts
Generate visual layouts and documentation to support EHS, production planning, equipment installations, and factory development projects
Help identify opportunities to improve safety, space utilization, material flow, and overall factory organization
Coordinate layout updates and facility changes to ensure accurate and current factory documentation
Required Skills:
Industrial Engineering degree, Associate degree, technical certification, or equivalent experience in Drafting, CAD Design, Manufacturing Technology, Engineering Technology, or a related field
2+ years of experience in manufacturing, production environments, facility planning, or layout drafting
Experience in creating and maintaining factory layouts, production floor plans, or facility drawings
Proficiency with CAD software such as AutoCAD, DraftSight, SolidWorks, and or similar tools
Ability to perform field measurements and translate real world conditions into accurate drawings
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work cross functionally in a fast paced manufacturing environment
