BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently looking for “dynamic, results driven” individual to join as a Industrial Engineer - Systems Specialist (MES & MFG Management System) (M/F/D) at our production plant in Viana, Portugal.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and improve standard tools for KPI management thus ensuring internal customer satisfaction;
- Guarantee data accuracy and integrity throughout the developed tools and maintain data base integrity;
- Support Industrial Engineering team in all needed tasks;
- Support other functional areas in KPI visualization tools and system management;
- Creating visualizations, reports, and dashboards to present findings on specific topics;
- Develop and optimize database queries, ensuring efficient data extraction, transformation, and performance improvement of data flows;
- Support data integration processes between different systems and platforms;
- Develop solutions within the Microsoft Power Platform ecosystem, including Power Apps and Power Automate, to automate processes and improve operational efficiency;
- Comply with environmental, health and safety, quality and productivity standards.
- Comply with the organization's rules and internal regulations: Code of Ethics, Practice and Schedule
- Respect workplace safety and cleanliness rules
- Respect and comply with environmental policy rules.
- Perform other duties and tasks on assigned special projects and assignments not included in the activity for which was hired, when the needs or convenience of the service justify it, for the period necessary for the said needs or conveniences of service.
Requirements
- Technical course or degree in the areas of Computer Engineering or Networks and Systems
- + 3 years’ experience in similar roles (preferred)
- Automotive industry experience (preferred)
- Knowledge of data processing software, programming languages (e.g., SQL, Python), and data visualization tools (Power BI)
- Experience with database management, query creation, and data flow optimization
- Knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform tools, namely Power Apps and Power Automate
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
