onsemi EFK is seeking a highly skilled Industrial Engineer to support manufacturing operations through advanced scheduling, dispatching, and datadriven decision support. This role focuses on optimizing WIP flow, improving factory throughput, and developing analytical tools that enhance visibility and operational performance. You will work with large, diverse manufacturing datasets to design rulebased logic, build visualizations, and support automated decision systems that keep the fab running efficiently. Periodic off-shift or on-call support may be required for critical issues in this 24x7 production environment.
Essential Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and deploy scheduling and dispatching rules that optimize WIP movement and resource utilization.
- Analyze complex manufacturing datasets to identify bottlenecks, trends, and improvement opportunities.
- Build dashboards and visualizations that communicate operational performance, constraints, and predictive insights.
- Apply industrial engineering principles to improve cycle time, throughput, and tool utilization.
- Work with CPlex or similar optimization tools to model and solve scheduling problems.
- Develop and maintain automation logic within UNIXbased systems.
- Support Javabased applications used for scheduling and dispatching.
- Collaborate with Production Control, Manufacturing Operations, Engineering, and Value Stream teams to align priorities and implement improvements.
- Drive continuous improvement in system accuracy, responsiveness, and decision quality.
- Design and deploy AIdriven agents that support automated rule evaluation, anomaly detection, and workflow optimization.
- Create data visualization tools that support realtime monitoring, scenario analysis, and performance reporting.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- English fluency (written and verbal).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with scheduling rule programming or dispatching logic, such as RTD Formatter.
- Proficiency in data mining, data manipulation, and merging large datasets.
- Familiarity with CPlex or other optimization solvers.
- Experience working in UNIX environments.
- Java programming experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Positive, collaborative, and proactive mindset.
- Experience with AI agent frameworks or machine-learning-based automation.
- Experience with data visualization platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, or Python visualization libraries.
Salary: onsemi is excited to share the base salary range for this position is $75,300 to $120,400 exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. The final pay rate for the successful candidate will depend on geographic location, skills, education, experience, and/or consideration of the internal equity of our current team members.
