Job Title: Industrial Engineer III
Job Duties: The Raymond Corporation seeks an Industrial Engineer III in Greene, New York to collaborate with the logistics team to improve the processes required to transport and distribute materials across multiple warehouses in support of production requirements. Analyze warehouse information to assist in establishing metrics in areas including inventory accuracy, pick efficiency, transportation, and cost forecasting. Contribute to the selection, justification, and integration of technologies to continuously improve the overall shipping, handling and distribution of goods. Work with various stakeholders to improve and streamline overall warehousing operations through the identification and implementation of technical systems and processes that improve inventory tracking, internal logistics, pick accuracy, storage and distribution. Create ACAD drawings for logistics operations, including racking design and product flow. Participate with management and stakeholders both internally and externally to determine best practices to improving warehouse operations and profitability. Assist with preparing and executing requisitions for material to ship to various locations, including the production line, suppliers and finished goods. Be responsible for the full spectrum of warehouse engineering projects/tasks including performing inventory support analyses and creating Power BI/Tableau reporting. Assist with developing cost models, assumptions and risks for projects. Create and maintain warehouse simulations for picking, dock efficiency, internal logistics bottlenecks and equipment utilization. Collect, review, and analyze internal logistics and operational system data, which involves the understanding of professional industrial engineering principles and practices. Assist with identifying and delivering on project milestones, communicating with stakeholders, and removing obstacles. Provide technical information to others and may have limited responsibility for direction of others. Test final PFEP container recommendation by placing parts in container and validating or recommending changes to supplier ROQ quantities. Collaborate with manufacturing packaging engineer on outsourcing projects, delivery routing, storage, and processes for all packaging requirements. May travel to various and unanticipated worksites throughout the United States 20%. Local telecommuting available up to two days per week. Annual Salary: $108,514 to $115,495.
Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering or related field plus one year (or Bachelor’s degree plus five progressive years) of engineering experience in:
1. Logistics and material handling;
2. ERP and MRP systems, such as JDE, SAP, Arriba, or Paragon Routing;
3. CAD or AutoCAD;
4. Python;
5. Utilizing data analytics applications, such as PowerBI;
6. Statistical analysis tools including Minitab and Excel;
7. Project Management;
8. Lean Six Sigma; and,
9. Simulation software such as FlexSim, Simio, or Arena.
