Industrial Engineer 2/3
This position is on-site at our Rocket Center, WV location. There are no remote work opportunities for this position.
Responsibilities will include:
- Positively impact the financial bottom line by working with other engineering and non-engineering disciplines and departments to eliminate waste and improve processes
- Utilize mathematical modeling, data analysis, and simulation techniques to analyze workflows, identify bottlenecks, and streamline processes
- Design and implement processes to improve efficiency and flow throughout the factory
- Complete time studies and cycle bar charts on production lines and processes
- Create Value Stream Maps for manufacturing lines
- Design equipment layouts, material Kanban, facilities, and flow simulations
- Work directly with Engineers, Program Office, Finance, and functional leadership on program capacity analysis
- Support programs and briefings to both external and internal customers on plant capacity
- Aide integrated product teams in solutions to problems related to product and information flow on the manufacturing floor
- Facilitate continuous improvement events to develop, define and improve processes in the overall value streams
- Support analyses for the acquisition, maintenance & enhancement of capital assets and miscellaneous equipment
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects, while communicating critical dates to all stakeholders
Basic Qualifications for Industrial Engineer (2):
- Bachelor's Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) with 2 years of engineering, manufacturing, or data analysis or a Masters’ degree in STEM with 0 years of experience.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance for which US citizenship is a prerequisite.
- Manufacturing Execution System (MES) experience
- Experience using the full suite of Microsoft Office Tools
- Experience using Excel, including macros, data mining, and pivot tables
- Experience with data mining, data analysis, or data visualization software applications (e.g. Tableau)
- Experience with factory simulation / modeling (e.g. FlexSim)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance. U.S. Citizenship is required.

- Bachelor's Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) with 5 years of engineering, manufacturing, or data analysis or a Masters’ degree in STEM with 3 years of experience.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance for which US citizenship is a prerequisite.

- Experience training all levels and all functions of a manufacturing organization in continuous improvement / lean tools
- Microsoft Project, AutoCAD, Tableau, and advanced factory simulation tools
- Lean/Six Sigma/Agile training/certification
- Active Secret security clearance
