At Chemelex, you'll design the electrical power distribution systems that support some of North America's most critical industrial facilities.

We're looking for an Industrial Design Engineer with experience designing low-voltage industrial electrical power distribution systems who enjoys solving complex engineering challenges and wants to see their work move beyond the design phase into construction, commissioning, and operation.

Whether your background comes from industrial power distribution, EPC consulting, manufacturing, oil & gas, mining, utilities, automation, or heavy industrial facilities, you'll have the opportunity to own projects from concept through commissioning while working alongside experienced engineers, project managers, construction teams, customers, and suppliers.

If you enjoy designing electrical systems—not just producing drawings—this is the role for you.

What You'll Do

As an Electrical Design Engineer, you'll design and develop low-voltage industrial electrical distribution systems supporting industrial facilities across North America.

You'll work throughout the complete project lifecycle—from initial engineering and equipment selection through installation, startup, and commissioning.

In this role you will:Design Industrial Electrical Power Systems
  • Design low-voltage industrial power distribution systems for industrial facilities.
  • Develop electrical system layouts, equipment arrangements, and distribution architectures.
  • Assist engineers and designers with the development of electrical power system and substation designs.
  • Produce complete electrical design packages for construction and installation.
  • Assist with field investigations, site walks, equipment surveys, and collection of field data as required.
  • Support the development and maintenance of bills of materials, equipment schedules, cable schedules, and other engineering project documentation.
Drive Engineering Excellence
  • Ensure designs comply with NEC, IEEE, IEC, CSA (where applicable), and customer specifications.
  • Contribute to engineering standards and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support project schedules, technical documentation, and engineering estimates.
