As a Systems Engineer, you will:

Pre-Sale Responsibilities include:

• Serve as the engineering contact within McNaughton McKay Group who is responsible for the sales support of customers.
• Develop relationships with Sales and the decision-makers within the identified customers.
• Monitor the application and business trends implemented at the identified customers.
• Develop a marketing strategy with Sales to promote the sales of the assigned product technologies.
• Develop solutions for the assigned products that address the value-add activities provided to customers.
• Utilize customer relationships and documented activities to leverage the value-add activities provided to customers.
• Establish business relationships with vendors of assigned products and serve as the technical liaison for customer sales and support.
• Assist in the development of vendor contracts and agreements with vendors of assigned products.

Post-Sale Responsibilities include:

• Manage the availability and customer requirements for the assigned products.
• Manage the availability and Services & Solutions team requirements for the assigned products.
• Train the inside sales and technical support personnel in the assigned products.
• Educate and support the Sales staff on the assigned products.
• Develop and maintain the information and support infrastructure required for the assigned products.

Service Responsibilities include:

• Qualify the level of assistance provided to customers with product and integration issues.
• Create the required service procedures to support the assigned products.
• Develop the vendor service/support strategies for the assigned products.

Desired Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Include:

• Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent experience.
• Product knowledge of assigned products.
• Thorough knowledge of strategic customer applications.
• Good relationship with vendors of assigned technologies.
• Proven analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Reporting Structure:

Reports To: Engineering Supervisor

Direct Reports:  None

Working Conditions:

Normal office environment; some travel to customer locations as needed.
