An opportunity for an Industrial Configuration Engineer has arisen within Airbus Operations, Getafe (Madrid).

The selected candidate will join the Manufacturing Engineering / Configuration Management Team.

Getafe Plant is a world-class center of excellence specializing in the structural assembly and equipping of Horizontal Tail Planes (HTPs) for the A320, A330, and A350 families, as well as the S19 section for the A350.

The jobholder will reinforce our Manufacturing Engineering team, taking a key role in managing the full end-to-end change and configuration process of our aircraft programs in a highly multicultural, multidisciplinary, and digitally transforming environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The main tasks of the jobholder will be:

  • End-to-End Modification Management: Handle the E2E management and industrial impact analysis of program modifications (MODs), covering all tasks under Configuration Management responsibility.

  • Product Structure Maintenance: Maintain and manage the manufacturing Product Breakdown Structure based on the product design, as well as registering and industrializing new Part Numbers.

  • MRP & Re-allocation Management: Update specific inputs within the MRP system and actively manage re-allocation processes to meet production delivery targets.

  • Engineering Approvals: Provide Manufacturing Engineering (ME) signature/approval on the Definition Dossier (DFM) Interface and Frontier Drawings.

  • Documentation & Customer Approval: Create and update Component Delivery Specifications (CDS) documents, acting as a core team member to secure final customer approval.

  • Digital Transformation: Act as an active core member in the implementation and deployment of new Configuration Management digital tools.

  • Education: University Degree in Engineering (Industrial, Aeronautical, or a related discipline).

  • Experience: Proven experience in Manufacturing Engineering, preferably within complex industrial, automated, or aerospace environments.

  • Soft skills: High passion, energy, and motivation for continuous improvement. Strong teamwork spirit, creativity, integrity, reliability, and leadership potential to manage transversal projects.

  • Languages: Negotiation level in English is a must. Capitalization of another European language will be valued.

  • Technical knowledge / Valuable: Familiarity with configuration management tools, MRP systems, and digital transformation mindset in manufacturing environments.
