Position Summary:
This position is responsible for ensuring the successful implementation of Global Procurement Category Sourcing Strategies at the market level, across all categories (supply, marketing and indirect), while effectively representing business needs to Global Procurement Category leaders.
As the Procurement Business Partner Leader for markets in Colombia, Central America, and Venezuela this position plays a pivotal leadership role within the LAC region, acting as the primary Procurement Voice for the business and leading the Indirect category in the market.
This role is instrumental in encouraging engagement with key business stakeholders and may involve leading a procurement team, either directly or indirectly, within the market which includes the development and execution of indirect procurement strategies that enhance efficiency and productivity, improve supplier performance, drive balanced solutions, and mitigate operational risks through robust governance.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Procurement Leadership
Own the implementation of global procurement strategies tailored to market needs and aligned with industry standards.
Own the Procurement Annual Operating Plan (AOP) for LAC and key business categories.
Develop and deliver efficiency, cash, and Scope 3 pipelines to support value creation.
Collaborate with Business Executives and global partners to optimize procurement performance, prioritization, and forecast accuracy.
Act as the main point of contact for the business, resolving supplier performance issues and driving cross-functional solutions.
Build and implement business efficiency roadmaps with strategic suppliers to drive efficiency, service, and savings.
Ensure alignment of procurement activities with Diageo’s goals on cost, cash, and carbon footprint.
Indirect Category & Supplier Management
Lead indirect Procurement for LAC and Tequila.
Act as the primary liaison with the Global Procurement indirect team.
Develop and implement subcategory implementation plans adapted to market specifics.
Ensure flawless execution of market indirect procurement activities in line with global strategies.
Strengthen the supplier base in Mexico by identifying and onboarding high-performing, innovative suppliers.
Cross-functional Collaboration
Connect regularly with Supply Chain Directors (SCDs) and Financial Director (FD), multifunctional leadership, and market partners to align on priorities and interventions.
Drive seamless collaboration across functions to support transformation of the end-to-end supply chain through supplier capabilities and innovative sourcing strategies.
Required Skills:
Advanced degree or equivalent experience preferred in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related fields
8+ years leadership experience in procurement and indirects in multinational beverage companies
Solid understanding of South American beverage market, especially Diageo’s operations in Colombia and Central America
Relevant certifications (CPSM, CSCP, Lean Six Sigma, PMP) desirable
Proficient in procurement platforms and technologies (Coupa CSO, SAP, Salesforce, Llamasoft)
Understanding of global supply chain dynamics and end-to-end analytics
Experienced in leading sophisticated projects with cross-functional alignment and timely execution
Strong communication skills in English and Spanish (written and oral.
