About Radiant

Radiant is an El Segundo, CA-based startup building the world’s first mass-produced, portable nuclear microreactors. The company’s first reactor, Kaleidos, is a 1-megawatt, fail-safe microreactor that can be transported anywhere power is needed and run for up to 5 years without refueling. Portable nuclear power with rapid-deploy capability can replace similar-sized diesel generators and provide critical asset support for hospitals, data centers, remote sites, and military bases. Radiant’s unique, practical approach to nuclear development leverages modern software engineering to rapidly deliver safe, factory-built microreactors that use existing, well-qualified materials. Founded in 2020, Radiant is on track to test its first reactor at the Idaho National Laboratory this summer, with initial customer deliveries beginning in 2028.

 About the Role

Radiant is seeking a proactive and strategic Indirect Procurement Manager to lead the sourcing, negotiation, and management of all goods and services for the indirect categories. You will work closely with Engineering, Operations, Finance, and Production members to ensure our partners and suppliers meet Radiant’s stringent technical, quality, and commercial requirements. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, possesses expert negotiation skills, and understands the complexities of sourcing specialized services within regulated industries.

Additional focus includes negotiating favorable commercial and intellectual property terms with specialized external service providers, including national laboratories (e.g., Idaho National Laboratory), university research labs, and other advanced technical services.

This includes sourcing and managing contracts for building maintenance, repairs, capital equipment, security services, janitorial, waste management, utilities, and supporting small-scale construction and lab build-out projects.

  • Contract Management: Develop, review, and manage the full lifecycle of supplier agreements, including Master Supply Agreements (MSAs), Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), and Purchase Order terms and conditions, ensuring compliance and mitigating risk.

  • Purchase Order Management: Oversee the complete procure-to-pay lifecycle, from requisition review and PO placement to tracking and closure, ensuring timely delivery of goods and services.

  • Supplier Relationship Management (SRM): Build and maintain strong commercial relationships with key indirect suppliers, acting as the primary point of contact for contractual and commercial matters and conducting regular business reviews to drive performance.

  • Cost Analysis & Optimization: Analyze market trends and total cost of ownership to identify and execute on cost-saving opportunities across all indirect spend categories.

  • Risk Management: Assess and mitigate supply chain risks related to indirect procurement, including supplier financial health, service level failures, and data security.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work seamlessly with internal stakeholders across all departments to understand their requirements, resolve supply issues, and support company-wide program timelines.

  • Process Improvement: Contribute to the development and refinement of procurement policies, procedures, and systems to enhance efficiency, compliance, and control.

Key Deliverables:

  • Successfully negotiated contracts and favorable terms with critical service providers, labs, and facilities vendors.

  • Demonstrated total cost of ownership (TCO) savings and cost avoidance through effective negotiation and strategic sourcing.
