The Indirect Procurement Manager is responsible for leading and optimizing all indirect spend categories across the country/business unit. This includes services, logistics (non-trade), MRO, IT, facilities, professional services, CAPEX support, and general operating expenses. The role ensures cost efficiency, compliance with global procurement standards, supplier performance management, and risk mitigation while enabling business growth and operational excellence.

Key ResponsibilitiesProcurement Strategy & Governance
  • Develop and execute country-level indirect procurement strategies aligned with regional and global procurement frameworks.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate procurement policies, sourcing guidelines, and Delegation of Authority (DOA).
  • Drive spend visibility and category transparency across all business sites.
Category Management
  • Lead sourcing strategies across key indirect procurement categories, including:
    • Facilities & Utilities
    • MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Operations)
    • Transport (Non-product Freight)
    • IT & Telecommunications
    • Professional Services
    • Fleet & Equipment
  • Develop category strategies, cost models, and supplier consolidation plans.
  • Benchmark pricing and identify cost optimization opportunities.
Strategic Sourcing & Contract Management
  • Lead end-to-end sourcing activities, including RFI, RFQ, RFP, and tender evaluations.
  • Negotiate commercial terms, pricing, and service level agreements.
  • Manage the contract lifecycle and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Partner with Legal and Finance to mitigate commercial and contractual risks.
Supplier Management
  • Develop and manage preferred supplier relationships and strategic partnerships.
  • Establish supplier performance metrics, KPIs, and service level agreements.
  • Drive supplier performance improvements and cost reduction initiatives.
  • Monitor supplier financial stability and operational risks.
Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Partner closely with Operations, EHS, IT, Finance, HR, Engineering, and other business functions.
  • Act as the procurement business partner for site and hub managers.
  • Support CAPEX projects through supplier selection and commercial evaluation.
Cost Control & Savings Delivery
  • Deliver annual procurement savings aligned with business targets.
  • Identify demand management opportunities and optimize indirect spend.
  • Track, measure, and report procurement savings and realized benefits.
Systems & Process Optimization
  • Utilize ERP and procurement systems to improve spend visibility, analytics, and purchase order compliance.
  • Drive Procure-to-Pay (P2P) process improvements and reduce maverick spending.
  • Support digital procurement and process automation initiatives where applicable.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 5–12 years of procurement experience, preferably within industrial, chemical, logistics, manufacturing, or distribution environments.
  • Strong experience managing indirect procurement categories and negotiating commercial contracts.
  • Experience with procurement systems, preferably SAP.
  • Experience working in a multi-site or matrix organization is advantageous.
