Moog's Indirect Procurement organization is seeking an Indirect Procurement Lead to support enterprise-wide IT & Telecom procurement activities across multiple operating groups and global locations. This role will partner with business stakeholders, suppliers, legal teams, and cross-functional partners to drive value, manage risk, optimize supplier relationships, and support strategic sourcing initiatives.

To be considered for the Indirect Procurement Lead role, here's what you'll need to bring with you:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Economics, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, supply chain management, vendor management, contract administration, IT asset management, or a related discipline.

  • 2 years of experience supporting IT, Telecommunications, Software, Cloud Services, Infrastructure, SaaS, or Technology-related procurement categories.

  • Experience supporting sourcing initiatives, supplier selection processes, commercial negotiations, and contract review activities.

  • Working knowledge of supplier agreements, contract terms and conditions, and contract administration best practices.

  • Experience collaborating with legal, finance, cybersecurity, compliance, or other business stakeholders on supplier and contractual matters.

  • Strong understanding of procurement principles, sourcing methodologies, supplier relationship management, and category management.

  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate supplier proposals, pricing structures, and total cost of ownership models.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional certifications such as CPSM, CPSD, CSCP, CPM, or other related procurement and supply chain certifications.

  • Experience in a manufacturing, aerospace, defense, or highly regulated industry.

  • Experience supporting global procurement operations and supplier management activities.

  • Knowledge of supplier risk management, software licensing agreements, cloud services agreements, and technology procurement best practices.

  • Experience using enterprise procurement platforms such as SAP, Oracle, Ariba, Coupa, or similar systems.

As an Indirect Procurement Lead, you will:

  • Support enterprise-wide IT and Telecom procurement activities, ensuring alignment with business objectives and procurement strategies.

  • Prepare, review, negotiate, and administer supplier agreements while ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.

  • Support contract negotiations, renewals, amendments, and commercial discussions with IT and Telecom suppliers.

  • Collaborate closely with Legal, Trade Compliance, Cybersecurity, Finance, and other stakeholders to ensure contractual and operational requirements are addressed.

  • Partner with internal and external legal counsel and contracts teams to review supplier terms and conditions and mitigate business risk.

  • Manage supplier onboarding activities and maintain accurate procurement, contract, and supplier records.

  • Support sourcing events, supplier evaluations, supplier selection processes, and competitive bidding initiatives.

  • Create, issue, and manage purchase orders, requisitions, amendments, and related procurement documentation.

  • Analyze supplier proposals, pricing structures, and total cost of ownership to support strategic procurement decisions.

  • Identify, assess, and escalate commercial, contractual, operational, and supplier-related risks while recommending mitigation strategies.

  • Contribute to the development and execution of category strategies for IT and Telecom spend categories.

  • Monitor supplier performance and support supplier relationship management activities to drive continuous improvement and value creation.

  • Analyze spend data and sourcing opportunities to identify cost savings, process improvements, and operational efficiencies.

  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and suppliers to achieve procurement objectives and business goals.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance procurement processes, contract management practices, and supplier performance.

By combining strong procurement expertise, contract management skills, and business partnership capabilities, you'll play a key role in supporting enterprise objectives while continuously improving procurement performance and supplier outcomes.

Salary Range Transparency:

Buffalo, NY $80,000.00–$110,000.00 Annually

Salary Range Disclaimer

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, employee stock purchase plan, an open paid time off policy, and many region-specific benefits.
