The Indirect Operational Procurement Buyer is responsible for identifying and procuring the indirect goods and services that an organization requires, creates indirect purchase orders in compliant and effective way according to the company’s purchasing policy.
Responsibilities:
- Reviews and analyzes indirect purchase requisitions.
- Processes purchase requisitions, create purchase orders and submits them towards suppliers.
- Responsible for procurement business system data input and integrity.
- Supports new vendor onboarding in alignment with Quality Management Requirements, with close collaboration with Strategic Procurement, Purchasing Support and Vendor Master teams.
- Facilitates invoice/PO mismatch issue resolution in cooperation with the Accounts Payable departments.
- Receives, analyzes and sorts out internal business user queries, provides guidance on the compliant P2P process.
- Participates in maximizing the procurement teams' changes, supplier database information, error report analysis. Initiates process improvements to improve the E2E Indirect P2P processes, work in a more effective way, improve customer (internal/external) experience.
Minimum Required Skills and Knowledge:
- Proficient in utilizing business tools such as: E-mail, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint + SAP MM Purchasing module.
- Good communication, coordination and negotiations skills
- Good time management, organized way of working and ability to work towards various deadlines.
- Capability to work independently but also in a Team
- Ability to understand end-to-end process flows
- Analytical thinking
- Flexible and problem-solving attitude
- Typical Education and Experience: Bachelor’s or MA degree with 3 years of related purchasing experience.
- Fluency in English is a must (written & verbal), plus German/Spanish/French/Finnish/etc. is an advantage.
