Job SummaryPerform the necessary functions of processing, approving, and assisting with operations of the Indirect Lending Department in order to help meet the goals of the credit union and to meet member needs. Provide quality service to members, dealerships, and branches. Represent the Credit Union in a professional manner.
Job Description
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Negotiates underwriting terms and makes lending decisions on dealership submitted credit applications in accordance to MACU lending guidelines and policies.
- Establishes and maintains mutually beneficial lending channels with vendors and merchants participating in our Automotive Indirect Lending Program. Maintains and expands a quality loan portfolio as outlined in the MACU loan policy and guidelines.
- Provides top quality and consistent credit decisions between the lending platforms by coordinating with branch managers and FSRs.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Experience

Computer/Office Equipment Skills
Adding machine/10-Key. Type a minimum of 35 words per minute. Basic computer operating skills (windows navigation, mouse/keyboard functionality) Intermediate to advanced level skill for Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)

Have no supervisory/managerial responsibilities
Language Skills
Must have the ability to read, understand and carry out instructions in written and oral form.
Other Skills and Abilities
Knowledge and understanding of credit union lending policies and procedures. Must be able read credit bureaus, be self-motivated, multi-task and to be detail oriented. Must have the ability to originate and maintain dealer relationships; meet individual and departmental goals, handle and resolve disputes with members, dealers, and branches. Must have excellent communication skills, knowledge and ability to use the internet and other computer software applications and perform basic clerical functions. Provide quality service to all members, vendors, clients, and prospective clients. Represent the Credit Union in a professional manner.
