  • Develop global category strategies with defined plans for cost savings, risk assessment and mitigation, and service level agreements.
  • Lead the development and execution of category negotiation strategies with suppliers, including specific targets for pricing, service, quality, intellectual property, tool ownership, exclusivity, and inventory.
  • Monitor current category market conditions and technology roadmaps, and identify challenges and opportunities.
  • Develop subject matter expertise in assigned commodities through external research, benchmarking, and analysis of cost drivers and life cycle costs; provide market intelligence and category price trend insight.
  • Serve as the go-to expert for assigned category areas and share knowledge with key stakeholders to enable more effective planning, forecasting, and execution.

  • Analyze current spend and evaluate current suppliers; consolidate spend across manufacturing locations to create leverage and identify new high-potential suppliers on a global basis.
  • Deliver year-over-year net cost reductions for commodities and programs within assigned responsibility.
  • Manage supplier relationships and performance, including dispute resolution.
  • Develop key performance measures for chosen suppliers and negotiate longer-term strategic contracts that deliver cost reduction and improved service levels.
  • Support indirect projects as Program Manager, coordinating sourcing and supplier qualification activities on a global basis.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, coordinating team activities and tracking progress against schedules.
  • Participate in special projects within the Sourcing organization as needed.
