Job Description
In this role, you will serve as the GM of India Operations, responsible for leading and scaling a multi-location team of approximately 70–80 team members, with continued growth expected. Reporting to the CTO, you will drive operational efficiency, team effectiveness, and alignment to global delivery models.
You will work in close partnership with U.S.-based functional leaders across R&D, HR, IT, Finance, Accounting, Recruiting, and Training to ensure India-based teams are fully integrated into global workflows and priorities. This is a highly matrixed leadership role, requiring strong influence and coordination rather than direct ownership of all functions.
You will oversee operational execution across both Hyderabad and Mohali, including workforce planning, site operations, and facilities coordination, while ensuring the delivery model and ways of working remain aligned with U.S. counterparts.
A key component of the role is cultural translation—ensuring that company values, expectations, and practices are effectively embedded in India in a way that resonates locally while maintaining global consistency. You will also represent the company externally in local communities, industry forums, and employer branding efforts.
What you will own in this role:
- Lead day-to-day operations across India locations, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and alignment with global delivery expectations
- Manage the India operational budget, with accountability for resource planning, cost efficiency, and scaling support
- Partner with R&D, HR, Recruiting, and Training leaders to support hiring, onboarding, and team development as the India footprint grows
- Drive operational improvements across workforce planning, team structure, and delivery execution
- Serve as the primary in-country leader, fostering strong engagement, culture alignment, and team cohesion across locations
- Ensure effective coordination and communication between India-based teams and U.S. stakeholders
- Translate and reinforce company culture, values, and operating norms within India teams
- Oversee site-level operations, including facilities, space planning, and vendor coordination
- Represent the company externally in India, including community engagement, employer branding, and industry events
What you bring to the role:
- 10–15 years of experience, with a strong track record in India operations, delivery leadership, or site leadership roles within a global organization
- Proven experience leading multi-location teams in India, ideally within a technology or R&D environment
- Strong operational mindset with the ability to drive efficiency, structure, and scalable team growth
- Experience working in a matrixed environment, partnering across global teams without direct authority over all functions
- Demonstrated ability to align distributed teams to a common delivery model and set of expectations
- Strong understanding of India workforce dynamics, including engagement, retention, and scaling teams
- Experience representing an organization externally in industry or community settings
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Experience & Education:
- Experience in healthcare, analytics, or technology-driven organizations
- Prior experience supporting R&D or product-led teams
- Experience in high-growth or scaling environments
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred

What We Do
Health Catalyst is dedicated to enabling health care organizations to fundamentally improve care by building the most comprehensive and fully integrated suite of healthcare data warehousing and process improvement solutions available. Health Catalyst was formed by a group of healthcare veterans with vast data warehousing and quality improvement experience. Our founders and executives collaborated for nearly a decade to revolutionize clinical process models using analytics. During development, they faced numerous hurdles in the quest to develop a data warehouse that could handle the complexities unique to healthcare data. After determining that the predominant approaches to data modeling weren’t effective for healthcare data, they discovered the solution, which is now known as the Adaptive Data Architecture. Using a late-binding bus architecture, Catalyst’s adaptive data model is agile, flexible, and can be implemented in a matter of weeks compared to the months or years traditional approaches require. Today at Health Catalyst, you’ll work with a team of experts who know that healthcare needs to change—and have made the change it needs a reality. Transforming healthcare is our passion.
