What you'll do
With a fine blend of hands-on and hands-off engineering, you'll work with disciplines across diverse technologies including native iOS and Android mobile apps, browser-based SPA, AWS public cloud, COBOL main-frame, product ownership, testing, deployment management to deliver great experiences for our customers.
You’ll also be responsible for:
- Hands-on technical leadership across the Digital Channels India-based teams. In conjunction with other domain architects and principal engineers, create a clear technical strategy and plan to achieve the customer goals
- Empowering and enabling your teams to grow by facilitating discussions, sharing insights, driving collaboration, and guiding the direction of work
- Working with software engineers to prototype innovative ideas, and engaging with our architects to validate and leverage them across the bank
- Enhancing our software engineering capability and inspiring our community of engineers to fulfil their potential by facilitating internal mobility, shaping career paths and coaching talent
The skills you'll need
As a senior engineer, in this hands on role, you’ll bring a wealth of practical experience and technical knowledge to this role. You'll develop & delivery experience of large scale programmes and teams via agile methodologies.
And, by harnessing your ability to engage and rally people around a tech cause, you’ll enable success at both a team and executive level and make a long-lasting impact through your work.
You'll demonstrate:
- Excellent leadership and management skills
- Significant experience of leading software development teams, executing strategies and implementing programming best practice
- Great interpersonal and relationship building skills
- Good communication skills
- Exert level in Microservices architectures, DevOps, Java, HTTP, Event driven frameworks/messaging & data stores.
- Practitioner of infrastructure automation
