Location : Chennai - Guindy
Main Purpose of Job :
Working in Finance Shared Service Centre (FSSC) located in Chennai, responsible for producing DA for AGM Area (Country Names) in a timely and accurate manner, so that Inchcape Shipping Services meets or exceeds its delivery commitment to its customers.
Direct reporting to Supervisor-DA who is based in FSSC Chennai.
Key Accountabilities :
Supplied Invoice verification
- Checking supplier invoices with 3-way matching
- Chasing LPA/ROC for late invoices
- Sorting out queries by working closely with country LPA/ROC team
- Posting supplier invoices
- Posting revenue fee
Agency fee & DA generation
- Checking and accounting revenue
- Verify DA’s are correct as per contracted rates, pro-forma / baseline templates / closed estimate
- Generate Disbursement account and dispatch to customer by comply with customer accounting requirements
- Produce Disbursement Accounts in a timely manner to meet group and team KPIs
Process management
- Working with country team to transit the tasks over.
- Continue seeking process improvement.
Relationship
- Keep line manager advised on any outstanding / performance issues relating to job duties
- Liaise with country LPA and AR team to close customer queries/requests
- Maintain good LPA and customer relationship
Knowledge, Expereince and Skills :
Essential
- PC literate, IT skills (MS Excel Word, Email)
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Customer service orientated
- Willing to learn and to expand their knowledge
- Effective communication skills
- Attention to details
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Experience working in a multi-national/international company
- Basic Knowledge of accounting rules
Desirable
- Experience in Ship and Port agency related field
- Working in a shared service centre environment
- Basic Knowledge of shipping Industry
Education and Professional qualification :
Essential
Degree educated at minimum bachelors level
Desirable
Master’s in Shipping
Other requirements:
