Job Summary:
Direct Tax compliance and tax advisory for Lines of Businesses in line with the policies of JPMorgan and local regulations.
As a Vice President in Corporate Tax at JPMorgan, you will be responsible for direct tax compliance and tax advisory for various lines of businesses. You will gain exposure to tax accounting and compliance assignments from an India local tax perspective. This role provides an opportunity to partner with local and global leadership on key projects and strategic initiatives in India, helping businesses manage the changing industry and regulatory landscape.
Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure Tax compliance including tax payments, filing returns, tax assessments and managing ligation. Overseeing tax policies and objectives in partnership with key stakeholders.
- Be responsible for Tax advisory to lines of businesses
- Handle dispute resolution through appellate process as well as international negotiations
- Having knowledge of International tax treaties and transfer pricing. Keeping track of changes in tax landscape, carry out impact analysis and advice on changes required.
- Partner with local and global leadership on key projects and strategic initiatives in India as required. Help businesses to manage the changing industry and regulatory landscape.
- Work with business management to ensure that tax risks are minimized
- Represent the firm before tax authorities and maintain strong local understanding of the tax environment
- Guide and lead team members
- Oversee tax provision, contingent liability, statutory audit related tax requirements
- Communicate with external advisors and Tax hub team in Corporate Centre
- Be responsible for any other direct tax related compliance and advisory responsibilities as may be specified from time to time

- Oversight and sharing technical inputs with respect to regulations, policies and requirements
