The team focuses on ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of index data across historical and production environments while driving continuous improvements in data quality and governance.

Overview:

As a Senior Analyst within the Index Data Governance team, you will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing the integrity of financial index data. You will be responsible for analyzing data across multiple sources, identifying discrepancies, and partnering with business and engineering teams to implement effective solutions.

In this role, you will contribute to strengthening data quality frameworks, improving operational processes, and supporting the integration of external data sources. You will also drive automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and scalability, while working in a highly collaborative, cross-functional environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and compare data across multiple sources (Excel, SQL, GCP databases, website) to identify discrepancies and generate insights

  • Perform reconciliation of index data across both historical and live datasets

  • Monitor daily production data loads and investigate any data or processing issues

  • Develop and maintain automation solutions for data quality checks and investigations

  • Support data extension initiatives by integrating external vendor data into internal systems and performing validation checks

  • Conduct ad hoc data analysis and reconciliation as required

  • Respond to internal data queries and support business stakeholders

  • Continuously improve data accuracy, completeness, and consistency across systems

  • Collaborate with Operations, Product Development, R&D, and Engineering teams to strengthen data controls

  • Act as a bridge between data producers and consumers to align data requirements and quality standards

Qualification:

  • 5–6 years of experience in data analysis or a related field

  • Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, Microsoft Excel

  • Solid understanding of financial markets, particularly equity and index data

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

  • MBA in Finance, CFA, or relevant certification
