Job Description
We are looking for an Income Tax Specialist to join our Tax team in Brazil. This role has strong ownership over direct tax routines, with exposure to audits, global reporting, and Transfer Pricing activities based on OECD rules. You will work closely with Finance, Accounting, Audit, Legal, and Global Tax teams, supporting compliance, accuracy, and management decision-making.
Your Responsibilities:- Perform monthly and annual Income Tax calculations (IRPJ and CSLL), including Deferred Tax and ETR analysis.
- Prepare and review accounting and tax reconciliations related to Income Tax.
- Analyze and manage accounts impacting direct tax calculations, including expenses, provisions, and temporary differences.
- Prepare audit notes and provide technical support for internal and external audits.
- Manage and monitor tax incentives and related controls.
- Prepare, review, and manage Income Tax returns, including the ECF (local file), with support from external advisors.
- Perform Transfer Pricing calculations based on OECD rules and support Local File preparation.
- Prepare and deliver tax reports in English to Corporate and Global Tax teams.
- Monitor changes in Income Tax and Transfer Pricing legislation and assess impacts.
- Critical analysis to support management decision-making.
- Monitor and manage tax matters through official tax authorities' portals, including e‑CAC and DEC, covering tax clearance certificates, tax account controls, and monitoring of notifications and pending items.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Law, Economics, Administration, or related fields.
- Solid experience with Income Tax and ECF preparation and review.
- Advanced Excel skills (data analysis, tax reconciliations, controls, and reporting).
- Advanced or fluent English, with the ability to prepare reports and interact with global teams.
- Availability to work on-site at least 3 days per week (hybrid model).
- Specialization or MBA in Tax, Accounting, or related areas.
- Experience in multinational companies.
- Interaction with Big4 or tax advisory firms.
