The Import Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day tasks involved with customer service and communications with our clients, origin offices, agents, and vendors to achieve our ultimate goal – customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and action daily emails from origin offices, agents, clients, and vendors.
- Monitor EManifest close messages for acceptance and immediately notify origin of any errors or exceptions.
- Ensure warehouses are notified and provided with all correct required documentation, EDI transmissions, and container pickup numbers for all containers and/or coloads.
- Check OS&D offload reports and photos received from warehouses for cargo damages and/or overages and/or shortages and notify origin with discrepancies.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Superior Customer Service aptitude, detailed oriented, multi-tasker, and ability to adapt to a fast paced environment.
- Bilingual English/French
- Minimum 3 years experience from freight forwarding or NVOCC consolidator environment.
- Knowledge of customs regulations and understanding of Incoterms
- Knowledge of EManifest regulations
- Full computer literacy including ability to work with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams
