A Day in the LifeWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Import and Export Specialist to join our team in the UAE. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the import and export operations of medical devices, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, and optimizing the supply chain process. This role requires a deep understanding of the medical device market, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
- Coordinate and manage the import and export of medical devices, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
- Ensure compliance with all UAE regulations and international trade laws related to medical devices.
- Processing all necessary documentation for import and export activities, including invoices, shipping documents, and customs declarations.
- Liaise with suppliers, logistics providers and local clearing agents o ensure smooth and efficient operations.
- Monitor and track shipments, resolving any issues that may arise during transit.
- Maintain accurate records of all import and export transactions.
- Stay updated on changes in regulations and industry standards related to medical devices.
- Collaborate with internal teams to optimize the supply chain and improve overall efficiency.
- Provide support and guidance to other team members on import and export procedures.
Required Knowledge and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in import and export operations, preferably in the medical device industry.
- Strong knowledge of UAE import and export regulations and international trade laws.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
