Charger logistics invests time and support into its employees to provide them with the room to learn and grow their expertise and work their way up. We are seeking a well-rounded individual able to work in a fast-paced environment to join the Customs Team at the company’s office in San Pedro Sula.
Responsibilities:
- Compile and review require customs documentation, create manifests, provide administrative support including generation of reports as well as assisting drivers with their documentation to achieve customs clearance.
- Review release requests from carriers/freight forwarders, determine their ETA, as well as the accuracy of documents provided by carriers, and work with all parties to obtain any missing documents and information as required.
- Prepare and process customs (ACE/ACI/PAPS/PARS) documentation according to outlined rules, regulations, and procedures.
- Provide internal customers with status of imported shipments.
- Assisting drivers with documents (ensuring that drivers obtain necessary signatures on Bills of Lading, complete their manifests) to ensure they get a customs clearance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree - Ideally in Customs/Logistics
- Strong customer service, problem solving, and organizational skills required
- Good time-management with an ability to prioritize and multi-task.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office, with the ability to learn new software quickly.
- Positive attitude with good people skills.
