JOB PURPOSE
The Response Planner (Imports & Exports) is responsible for securing end‑to‑end visibility, responsiveness, and risk mitigation across all imported and exported finished goods for the Mexico Business Units.
This role acts as the central connection point between Planning and Capgemini, with interactions with International Logistics, Receiving Units, Importing units and cross‑functional stakeholders, ensuring timely, accurate, and actionable information to sustain service while minimizing supply risks and operational disruptions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Cross‑Functional Coordination & Communication
- Serve as the primary liaison between Planning, Capgemini, Import/Export teams, and all Mexico Business Units.
- Ensure alignment on priorities, risks, and service levels with International Logistics, Customer Service, and Category teams.
Operational Response & Risk Management
- Monitor and analyze constraints for imported and exported finished goods, including delays, customs risks, capacity limitations, and transit deviations.
- Escalate critical risks and propose mitigation actions
- Support crisis calls and issue resolution with IL, Sourcing Units, Import units, and BUs to protect service levels.
Scenario Planning & Supply Support
- Evaluate supply scenarios alongside Demand Planners, Supply Planners, and Logistics to recommend feasible short‑term response plans.
- Provide visibility of impacts on service.
- Track and communicate execution of approved response actions.
Process Standardization & Continuous Improvement
- Lead initiatives to document, standardize, and improve planning processes for Imports and Exports.
- Support the implementation of best practices across BUs to enhance responsiveness and visibility.
- Contribute to the design and monitoring of KPIs related to lead times, service performance, and process compliance.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Facilitate alignment meetings across Planning, Logistics, and Business Units.
- Build strong, collaborative relationships with internal teams and external partners to enable smooth execution.
- Provide data‑driven insights and clear, assertive communication to support operational decisions.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong understanding of core Supply Chain Planning concepts.
- Analytical ability to evaluate supply constraints and propose viable scenarios.
- Structured communication skills to work with multiple stakeholders.
- Experience with Import/Export operations or international logistics processes desired.
- Ability to manage pressure, multitask, and participate in crisis situations.
- Intermediate Excel and planning tools proficiency.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in a Planning or Logistics coordination role.
- Influencing and negotiation skills with cross-functional teams.
- Continuous improvement mindset; experience with SOPs or process mapping.
- Understanding of network flows between sourcing units (SU) and receiving units (RU).
