This role will support the deployment of an air traffic support system building solutions end-to-end. The ideal candidate must have experience managing and coordinating complex implementation and deployment efforts involving infrastructure, engineering, technology, or comparable operational environments.

Location Details: This role is mostly remote with occasional on-site requirements at the Department of Transportation Headquarters in Washington D.C. and the FAA Headquarters in Egg Harbor Township, NJ.

  • Assume ownership of defined deployment workstreams, site groups, or cross-functional coordination areas as appropriate.
  • Support development and management of an integrated deployment strategy.
  • Analyze impacts resulting from changes in field conditions, procurement, external stakeholder readiness, infrastructure, resources, and other dependencies.
  • Develop mitigations and recommend risk reduction alternatives for maintaining deployment objectives.
  • Coordinate implementation activities across a wide array of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support resource planning and sequencing.
  • Support executive-level analysis and decision-making.
  • Support the project coordination team as a Senior Project Coordinator.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 16 years of relevant experience is required. Relevant degrees may be credited toward the experience requirement as follows: Bachelor's degree (5 years), Master's degree (3 years), and PhD (7 years).
  • Experience with infrastructure deployment, systems installation, or similarly complex operational environments involving tightly coupled dependencies and execution constraints is required
  • Understand a complex collection of interdependent activities and constraints.
  • Develop and maintain integrated deployment plans that define how activities, dependencies, resources, and operational constraints fit together across the deployment.
  • Analyze changes and determine downstream impacts to deployment sequencing, resource needs, dependencies, and operational execution.
  • Work through ambiguous problems and develop solutions and mitigations.
  • Coordinate resources and activities across multiple stakeholders and operational domains.
  • Translate detailed operational information into actionable plans that support management decisions.
  • Operate independently and proactively in a fast-moving implementation environment.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification required.
  • Demonstrated responsibility for implementation planning: integrating dependencies and resources, evaluating downstream impacts, developing mitigation options, and driving execution through changing conditions is preferred.
  • P6 or MS Project experience preferred.
