Role Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Implementation Specialist with strong technical acumen and deep understanding of the fire mitigation, wildfire risk, or emergency management industries. In this role, you will guide new customers through the onboarding process, ensuring a seamless implementation of our fire mitigation software solutions. You’ll work closely with clients, internal product teams, and subject matter experts to configure software, train users, and support integrations that drive real-world impact in wildfire resilience and operational readiness.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end implementation of our SaaS solutions for new customers, from kickoff to go-live.
- Act as the primary technical point of contact during onboarding, providing responsive, clear, and expert-level guidance.
- Collaborate with customers to understand their unique fire mitigation workflows, operational needs, and data environments.
- Configure software based on customer use cases, ensuring the platform is optimized for maximum value.
- Support data ingestion, API integrations, and basic GIS-related tasks (e.g., map layers, shapefiles).
- Provide hands-on training to ensure users are confident in utilizing the software for day-to-day operations.
- Communicate feedback to internal Product and Engineering teams to inform future development.
- Partner with Customer Success Managers to ensure smooth handoff post-implementation and drive long-term client success.
- Help evolve implementation best practices and documentation to improve scalability and consistency across projects.
Requirements
Required
- Two or more years of experience in SaaS implementation, solution consulting, or technical onboarding.
- Experience working in or with industries related to wildland fire, wildfire risk mitigation, forestry, weather analytics, and/or electrical utilities.
- Hands-on experience with ESRI ArcGIS Pro and a variety of geospatial data formats (GeoJSON, geodatabases, shapefiles, rasters)
- Strong technical aptitude with APIs, data formats, and platform configuration.
- Strong Python scripting skills to automate GIS data manipulation, testing and quality checks
- Excellent organizational skills
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple concurrent implementations in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience implementing wildfire modeling, fire behavior, or environmental risk software.
- Experience designing and leading user acceptance testing (UAT), including test plan development, execution, and issue tracking
- Familiarity with modern geospatial data pipelines
- Prior use or knowledge of wildfire-related datasets or systems (e.g., NFDRS, LANDFIRE, WUI data).
- Basic understanding of cloud platforms and data privacy considerations.
- Experience using tools such as Jira and Confluence.
- Experience testing, deploying, and supporting mobile spatial applications on Android and iOS platforms
