You’ll be the go-to technical expert helping merchants and partners successfully integrate Koalafi financing into their systems. While not responsible for writing production code, you’ll play a key role in designing technical solutions, supporting partner development teams, and accelerating our go-to-market efforts. You’ll deeply understand Koalafi’s APIs and platform architecture so that you can guide external teams to build reliable, scalable, and compliant integrations. You’ll work cross-functionally with business development, product, and engineering teams to unblock deals, expand platform support, and improve the overall merchant experience.
Serve as a technical advisor and subject matter expert during merchant onboarding and partnership conversations.
Understand the capabilities of Koalafi’s APIs, SDKs, and plugins in depth, and advise on how they can be applied to solve integration challenges.
Collaborate closely with Partnerships, Sales, and Product to assess feasibility, define integration paths, and align technical goals with business objectives.
Support merchants and partners as they build and test custom integrations—answering technical questions, reviewing implementation plans, and helping troubleshoot issues.
Coordinate with internal engineering teams to escalate edge cases, clarify implementation requirements, and share partner feedback.
Participate in QA and validation of partner-built solutions to ensure quality, reliability, and alignment with Koalafi’s standards.
Help document best practices and contribute to developer resources to make future integrations more seamless.
Serve as the technical bridge between our core engineering team and our integration partners
Bachelor's degree preferred in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or related field.
4+ years of experience in a technical client-facing role such as Solutions Engineer, Solutions Architect, or Technical Consultant and 5+ years of experience in a solutions delivery role.
Strong understanding of modern web technologies, APIs (especially REST), and software integration patterns.
- Experience with at least one programming language (e.g., GoLang, JavaScript, Python); ability to understand code samples, answer implementation questions, and speak confidently with developers.
Experience working with e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, BigCommerce, Magento) or POS systems is a strong plus.
Able to translate complex technical concepts into partner-friendly language without losing depth or accuracy.
Strong collaboration skills—you enjoy working across business, product, and engineering teams to solve real-world problems.
Detail-oriented, curious, and comfortable navigating ambiguity in dynamic partner engagements.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially in structured documentation or integration guides.
Bonus: Experience supporting QA, performing light technical validation, or experience debugging and troubleshooting issues using various observability tools
Location: Remote (open to candidates in all states)
Salary Range: $135,000-$180,000 per year (depending on experience and location)
Additional Compensation: This position may be eligible to participate in company bonus plan.
The final salary offer will depend on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, and geographic location. The actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.
