Job Summary
The Lead Analyst is responsible for providing peer leadership and coordinating the work of professional services analysts in collaboration with the Professional Services Manager while also providing mentorship for team members. The Lead Analyst will help define standards and best practices to be used by the Business Analysts daily.
The Lead Analyst will possess excellent organizational skills, problem-solving skills, prioritization, the ability to quickly adapt to changing client demands, and the ability to communicate effectively with people of varying technical backgrounds.
Responsibilities
- Ensure project artifacts are up-to-date and accurate
- Ensure Business Analysts maintain a high quality of business rules, tasks, & user stories
- Collaborate with the Professional Services manager to create business rule standards and ensure they are followed
- Facilitate task/user story refinement meetings
- Work with Business Analysts to ensure standards are followed and recommend improvements to the Professional Services Manager.
- Collaborate with the Professional Services Manager in monitoring project & task timelines, scoping, and statuses to ensure they are on budget & schedule
- Collaborate in risk management and mitigation, including client escalations
- Prioritize project backlogs while considering the priority of all projects as set by the Professional Services Manager
- Mentor Business Analysts
- Identifying and assessing client’s business requirements
- Clearly defining the scope of work to be completed
- Documenting detailed requirements for the development team to work from
- Collaborate with Solutions Architect and development team to create solutions
- Follow all standards that are defined for the role
- Periodic travel to meet with clients across North America, Australia and the UK
- Other related duties as assigned
Requirements
- Solid experience as a Business Analyst, at least two years
- Completion of post-secondary education in Computer Science, Business Administration or an equivalent of work experience
- Strong project management skills. Project Management Professional certification is an asset
- Proven experience with high-level planning, problem solving and analysis
- Experience with Agile, Scrum, and Kanban

- Strong communication skills and the ability to draw out the needs and requirements of clients
- Quick learner that can be put into new situations and quickly become a domain expert
- Analytical skills, along with being able to conceptualize, design and document new features and business requirements
- Excellent client service and communication skills
