Our product management, development, and service teams work closely with Client Solutions to deliver relevant, integrated solutions to our clients.
The Role
This role requires a proactive, strategic, and client-focused professional to lead complex integration projects and manage key client relationships, working collaboratively with diverse stakeholders. You'll work across Morningstar's Direct Platform's Research & Data Products, collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of tailored client solutions.
Key Responsibilities
  • Engage with clients and pre-sales to understand needs and deliver effective, scalable solutions.
  • Develop clear business requirements, specifications, and project plans, managing expectations across stakeholders.
  • Lead projects to deployment, applying project management best practices and coordinating cross-functional teams.
  • Partner with product and development teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Oversee quality assurance efforts, incorporating user feedback and driving resolutions.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for client communications throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Monitor and report on project status, managing scope, timelines, quality, and risk.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring timely issue resolution.
  • Manage multiple concurrent workstreams effectively.

Qualifications
  • Additional languages like French, Spanish, Italian are nice to have
  • Strong client focus with excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Effective communicator with strong presentation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Self-motivated, creative, and strategic thinker with sound problem-solving abilities.
  • Technical aptitude and a quick learner; able to understand and explain systems and data flows.
  • Strong analytical skills with a passion for data and product integration.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and skilled at leading through change in a collaborative environment.
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to risk management and stakeholder coordination.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to build strong relationships across teams.
  • Solid understanding of software development processes and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with investment products, market trends, and the financial services industry.
  • Knowledge of technologies such as JSON, XML, HTML, SQL, and relational databases is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  • 2-3 years of project management experience; QA or development experience a plus.
