The Work You'll Do:

As an Implementation Consultant I at Sovos, you'll be the driving force behind successful client implementations, guiding projects from kickoff through go-live. You'll partner directly with clients to translate their business needs into configured solutions, ensuring smooth onboarding experiences that set the foundation for long-term success.

This role combines project management, technical configuration, and client partnership—making it ideal for someone who thrives on variety, problem-solving, and building relationships. You'll work with Sovos' industry-leading tax compliance products, helping clients navigate complex regulatory requirements while delivering implementations on time and with excellence.

More specifically, you will:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the implementation journey, building trusted relationships and ensuring clear communication at every stage
• Develop and manage project plans, proactively identifying risks and resolving issues to keep implementations on track
• Complete configuration tasks and create thorough Client Procedures documentation that captures all configuration details and essential information
• Lead dynamic work sessions with clients to develop technology-based solutions that address real business challenges
• Translate client business logic into technical specifications, managing the configuration and testing processes through final sign-off
• Deliver training to clients, ensuring they have the knowledge and confidence to maximize their Sovos solutions
• Execute seamless, well-documented transitions to Client Support or Compliance Services teams upon implementation completion
• Provide ongoing service support during peak processing periods and as needed post-implementation
• Identify and recommend improvements to processes, documents, tools, and reports that enhance the client implementation experience
• Balance commitments across multiple projects while maintaining quality and meeting deadlines
• Leverage AI tools and emerging technologies to enhance efficiency and client outcomes

What We Need From You

• 1-2 years of service-related work experience preferred
• Strong time management, organizational, and decision-making skills with the ability to balance multiple priorities
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly
• Ability to build effective relationships with teammates, colleagues, and clients across diverse backgrounds
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities
• Comfort utilizing technology including phone systems, computer hardware, and software applications
• Basic knowledge of tax rules and processes (training provided)
• Curiosity and eagerness to learn Sovos product offerings and implementation methodologies
• Experience with or willingness to adopt AI-powered tools to enhance productivity and client service
• Minimal travel required to Sovos locations or events
