Who We Are

Maybern is transforming the way private fund managers effectively manage their funds through cutting edge technology. Maybern is founded by top engineering experts with deep knowledge of the fund management space.

Private funds manage $15T in capital and are growing at 20% YoY, but with increasing regulatory scrutiny and investor demands for transparency, the need for world class software to help private fund CFOs is crucial.

This is where Maybern comes in.

We are equipping fund managers with intuitive, flexible fund management software, enabling private investment managers to focus on what they do best: driving returns for their investors. We are backed by leading venture capital firms and a large number of strategic investors.

Maybern is an NYC based company with a strong in-office culture to drive collaboration, and we are looking to make strong additions to our team.

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for experienced implementations specialists that are interested in translating other fintech experience into the implementation of critical software for the private fund industry. You should have the ability to work effectively with a small and focused team implementing complex fund software.

What You’ll Do

You will be a part of the foundation of Maybern’s Implementation Team, which is implementing our product with clients while collaborating with the Client Success, Solutions, Product, and Engineering teams. You will be one of the chief owners of translating private fund business requirements into our product, which requires the ability to learn technical private equity subject matter as well as master our software. You will also be key in building relationships with existing clients and understanding their specific and unique business requirements. You will:

  • Build: You will build relationships with our clients, plan onboarding and roll-out processes for new fund managers, and evaluate product enhancements.

  • Plan: Analyze key requirements for clients to help Product Managers prioritize the product roadmap.

  • Deliver: You will deliver on key milestones throughout the entire life of the project while managing the relationship with our clients. You will also help to train our clients on our complex fund software, and support them as they adopt our product.

Who You Are

  • Technically Curious: You’re drawn to the intersection of software and business logic, and you like understanding how systems behave under different configurations or inputs.

  • Collaborative. You love to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment managing both internal and external stakeholders, excel at distilling and incorporating feedback, and are a clear and consistent communicator.

  • Detail-Oriented: There is no room for error when building software to manage such critical calculations for enterprise investment managers.

  • Systems Thinker: You approach problems with a technical and holistic mindset, considering broader implications and interconnectivity within workflows and processes.

  • Adaptable: You adjust quickly to changing priorities and conditions, effectively coping with complexity and change, and thrive as a self-starter who takes initiative without needing much direction.

This Could Be a Great Fit If You…

  • Have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline

  • Have 1-3 years of experience in a technical client-facing role (e.g., technical onboarding, solution consulting, implementation)

  • Have strong project management skills

  • Have a heightened attention to detail that can be applied to the translation of a variety of private fund structures and calculations into a flexible software solution

What We Do

Technology has revolutionized the operations of public markets. The improvement in capabilities has raised investor expectations and regulatory demands, but the private markets can’t keep up. Global private markets manage $15 trillion dollars. Despite its importance in the global economy, investment managers still run their operations on a patchwork of legacy software providers and manual spreadsheets, creating massive inefficiencies and operational risk.

Maybern is changing that. By equipping fund managers with intuitive, flexible fund management software, Maybern is modernizing fund operations, making it more efficient, more accurate, and more seamless. In doing so, Maybern is enabling investment managers to spend more time doing what they do best: creating value for their investors.

Why Work With Us

At Maybern, you’ll join a collaborative, mission-driven team building the operating system for modern fund finance. We value growth, curiosity, and ownership, giving every employee the chance to make a big impact. With a culture that’s supportive and ambitious, you’ll do meaningful work while building your career alongside smart, kind teammates.
