Impact Specialist, Curriculum & Instruction (Bilingual) - Chicago/Midwest

The Impact Specialist, Curriculum & Instruction is a Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) who will advance core footprint alongside field teams through opportunity advisement and sales presentations that drive success in core adoptions, as they strengthen key literacy core implementations including pilots and efficacy work. ISPs will collaborate with a range of external and internal stakeholders to lead efforts that achieve our company goals in the core literacy and mathematics market.

The impact you'll have:

Grow Core Adoption Impact

  • Develop and maintain gold-standard product knowledge and presentation skills to effectively support core adoption and revenue growth

  • In collaboration with National Directors and internal product teams, develop and deliver awareness experiences that build curiosity and excitement among educators for our core offerings, including English- and Spanish-language curriculum

  • Develop the ability to clearly communicate the features, advantages, and benefits of core offerings in sales settings, with particular attention to the needs of multilingual learners and dual language programs

  • Serve as a knowledgeable partner to districts considering core curriculum within bilingual, biliteracy, and dual language instructional models

  • Engage with national and regional leadership to understand upcoming state adoptions and open-territory opportunities for expanding our core footprint

  • Develop a deep understanding of emerging research, trends, and legislation that impact curriculum and instruction, including research and policy related to bilingual education, biliteracy development, multilingual learners, and dual language programming

  • Bring an understanding of how curriculum is implemented across languages and how instructional decisions can support coherence, language development, and strong grade-level instruction in dual language settings

Strengthen Key Implementations

  • Work closely with regional field teams to monitor and protect the health of core implementations

  • Provide particular expertise in supporting implementations within bilingual and dual language schools and districts

  • Assist and advise field teams in responding to implementation challenges that arise, including challenges related to cross-language implementation, biliteracy development, instructional models, and program coherence

  • Seek implementation health status with SME counterparts in literacy, mathematics, and biliteracy for existing core adoptions

  • Partner with school and district leaders to understand how local dual language models, language allocations, staffing structures, and instructional priorities influence successful curriculum implementation

Commit to Continued Professional Learning

  • Demonstrate a commitment to continuous professional learning in the ever-evolving field of core curriculum by staying informed about emerging trends, research, and best practices in education

  • Maintain current knowledge of research and best practices related to bilingual education, biliteracy development, multilingual learners, and effective dual language program design and implementation

Proactively Provide Feedback and Updates

  • Ensure transparent and effective communication by disseminating clear, concise, and timely updates to stakeholders, fostering a shared understanding of project status and milestones

  • Maintain and leverage data to report on the health of key core implementations

  • Surface patterns and insights from bilingual and dual language implementations to help inform internal teams, product development, and future field support

Who We’re Looking For:
  • Bilingual and biliterate, with the ability to communicate professionally and engage educators in both languages
  • Deep understanding of bilingual education, biliteracy development, multilingual learners, and dual language program models

  • Experience teaching in a dual language or bilingual setting and/or serving as a school or district leader responsible for bilingual or dual language programming

  • Strong understanding of how high-quality curriculum is implemented across languages while supporting both content learning and language development

  • Knowledge of best practices and trends in your subject area

  • Ability to build credibility with teachers, coaches, principals, and district leaders working in bilingual and dual language contexts

  • Ability to thrive in collaborative environments while demonstrating a high degree of self-directed initiative

  • Ability to manage projects through change, including building trust with stakeholders, listening deeply, learning from others’ input and experience, and driving toward best outcomes with respect, compassion, and humility

  • Strong organizational skills with an ability to balance short-term tasks with long-term projects and initiatives

  • Embody and model the CA culture tenets in all internal and external activities

Required Education and Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in education with a focus on curriculum and instruction

  • Demonstrated experience working in bilingual or dual language education, preferably through classroom teaching, instructional leadership, school leadership, or district-level leadership

  • Demonstrated knowledge of biliteracy development and effective instructional practices for multilingual learners

  • Demonstrated effectiveness working cross-functionally, building relationships with remote teams, and working with a broad range of stakeholders

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, bilingual education, your subject area, or a related field; advanced degree preferred

  • Bilingual and biliterate proficiency required

Travel: 60%-70%; primarily multi-state travel within the assigned Midwest region, including overnight travel.

Location: This position is based in the Midwest region and will be supporting customers throughout this area. Candidates must currently live in or be willing to relocate to the Midwest region. Additionally, a valid driver's license is required for this role. 

Benefits and Pay Range:

Pay Range – This role’s range is $69,250-$118,250.

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that Curriculum Associates considers in making compensation decisions based on our Compensation Philosophy. Actual base pay within that range will vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, prior experience and relevant skill sets. At Curriculum Associates, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances for each case. The Company recognizes that minimum wage varies by location and will ensure all compensation decisions comply with applicable state and local laws.

Benefits – Benefit eligible employees (and their families) are covered by medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees can enroll in our company’s 401k plan and receive an employer match. Employees have access to a flexible vacation and sick policy in addition to twelve paid holidays and a winter office closure between Christmas and New Year's, as well as a number of additional perks and benefits.
