What you'll do:
Design, develop and maintain automation systems and digital solutions
Configure and maintain industrial communication protocols and networks
Support system integration between machines, SCADA, MES, and IT systems
Support on Electronic HW design, SW flashing and industrialization on home appliances products
Work in close collaboration with internal Project Leaders and Suppliers to ensure standard 4.0 ready integrations from day zero
Become the industrial and digital automation SME, and mentor peers to upskill the technical knowledge of the different areas
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in industrial automation, electronic testing or digital engineering roles
Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written
Able to communicate effectively with global team, suppliers, and cross-functional teams
Technical Requirements
1. Automation Systems
Hands-on experience with Siemens automation platforms:
- TIA Portal (mandatory)
- STEP 7 (for legacy systems)
Strong PLC and HMI programming and troubleshooting skills
Nice to have: Experience with Mitsubishi PLC programming environments
Experience integrating SCADA systems with PLCs and external databases
2. SCADA Systems
Proven experience in at least one of the following SCADA platforms:
- Ignition (Inductive Automation)
- Siemens WinCC
- AVEVA (Wonderware)
- Other comparable brands
Experience integrating SCADA systems with PLCs and external databases
3. Industrial Networking and Communication Stack:
Solid understanding of Network topologies (star, ring, mesh), subnetting and IP addressing, Switching concepts (managed switches, VLANs), Firewall and routing basics, and industrial network security
Proficiency in industrial communication protocols, mainly: OPC UA, Profinet/Profibus, IO-Link, other.
4. Electronic HW and Testing
Assist on hardware design of electronic boards (PCBs): Schematic support, Prototyping and debugging
Programming boards using Electrolux tools and internal global standards
Manage firmware versions
Testing of Home Appliances
Nice to Have
Experience with MES integration or Industry 4.0 solutions
Knowledge of scripting (Python, SQL, JavaScript or similar)
