The R&D department of Security Systems in Eindhoven is responsible for the development of high end digital IP cameras for security applications. As a member of the Image Processing team, you will contribute to Bosch’s best-in-class Image Quality, making all relevant details visible and detectable under the widest range of light conditions (from lowest light to high dynamic scenes).
Job Description
🚀 Your Role as an Image Processing Engineer
Develop and implement algorithms for camera control (Auto Exposure, Auto White Balance, Auto Focus) and image enhancement (e.g. sharpness, tone mapping) for our camera platforms
- Develop and implement algorithms to reduce unwanted image artefacts (e.g. noise reduction, lens corrections)
- Evaluate and characterize next generation Image Signal Processors (ISP’s)
- Optimizing tuning of the currently used, and next generation platform-based ISP’s
- Iterate on promising ideas for new image processing features and algorithms (proof of concept), in collaboration with other image processing experts
- Benchmark Bosch algorithms against the state of the art and against competition
- Stay up to date with the latest developments on Image Processing
Qualifications
🎓 What You Bring:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in computer science or related discipline
- Strong preference in image and video processing and capturing
- Programming experience in C++ (C# or Python is a plus)
- Programming for Linux environment and TDD are much appreciated
- Experience in mathematical modeling and simulation of algorithms in Matlab / Simulink
- Knowledge of the camera ISP is a plus
- Knowledge of video compression and video content analysis are a plus
- Experience with platform based architectures and development
- Strong communication skills and ability to take others along in your proposals
