A Bright Future, Inc, specializes in providing services to adults with intellectual disabilities throughout several counties located throughout Northern California.  Our Company is a private organization, headquartered in American Canyon, California.  We also have Regional Offices located in both Sacramento and Albany California.

Location of Position:

American Canyon, CA Office

Davis, CA Office 

Position Schedule:

Monday- Friday; Weekends on Occasion

9am-530pm; Occasional Overtime

Brief Job Description:

The Program Coordinator is responsible for creating and executing programs and services that directly support adults with developmental disabilities.  The Program Coordinator will be in charge of managing our client’s Individual Service Plan (ISP) goals that will to assist them with accomplishing daily living activities at home and within the local community. 

The Program Coordinator will be responsible for providing oversight of an entire  department staff; who are assigned to work at specific client's homes.  This position will coordinate personal care, training, and support to meet the goals and objectives of the individuals served.

Brief Job Responsibilities:

The Program Coordinator shall assign staff to provide direct service to our clients.  The Program Coordinator will supervise the delivery of client's services provided by staff through managing client and staff schedules, effectively communicating with both clients and staff members,

All supervisory staff shall have the ability, as a result of any combination of relevant training and experience, to competently and consistently organize and supervise the direct provision of services to clients in accordance with the vendor’s established policies, under the general supervision of the Program Director.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree AND 2 years of experience in Social Services or Case Management.

OR

Master’s Degree and 1 year of experience in Social Services or Case Management.

Interaction/Organizational/Social Skills:

  • Must be able to relate positively to individuals, their families/conservators, neighbors, Regional Center representatives and other community members.
  • Must be mature and emotionally stable.
  • Must possess the belief and attitude that all people with developmental disabilities can be served in their communities.
  • Must be capable of using language that portrays people with developmental disabilities in a way other than the typical medical model.
  • Must possess the belief that a developmental disability is not an illness.
  • Must be emotionally capable of examining one’s self and one’s own issues with power and control when supporting and acting in the service of other people.
  • Must be able to exercise judgment and initiative in working for people.
  • Must be punctual and have a good attendance record.
  • Must have the ability to communicate in the language spoken by the individual and in writhing to the individuals served, supervisors and other team members.
  • Must be able to effectively organize a variety of work tasks for self and complete these in priority order.

Pay Range:

$17.00/hour to $23.00/hour [DOE; Depending On Experience]
