Agilent's iLab software is part of the Automated Productivity Solutions business group within our Productivity Solutions Division. iLab manages resources, planning, and billing for laboratory core facilities and is a critical piece in the full digitalization of laboratory operations.
The iLab R&D manager has the following responsibilities
- Attract, retain, and develop a motivated and skilled team of developers.
- Hold final accountability for the roadmap's estimates and implementation.
- Manage our agile team and processes.
- Manage subcontractor relationships, including selection, scoping, and follow-up.
- Establish and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including support, customer success, project management, and sales.
- Work with remote engineers in a global environment.
You will take the lead of two internal teams: a core group, responsible for maintaining and evolving the core product, and an integrations group, responsible for customer-specific integration projects. You will also lead third-party development teams.
Qualifications- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree or equivalent, plus directly relevant experience with product management.
- A minimum of 1-2 years of experience formally or informally leading people, such as a project management or program management role.
- Candidates with experience leading teams of 5+ people are highly preferred.
- 5-7+ years of experience as a full-stack engineer in a healthcare or life science environment.
- Experience with CI/CD and multitenant cloud-hosted solutions is required.
- Experience with Agile development and the relevant toolsets, such as JIRA or GitHub.
- Must have working experience with Ruby on Rails.
- Must demonstrate deep understanding of AI and software modernization skills
- Experience with secure development lifecycles (SDLC).
- Experience in a lab or resource management (e.g., supply chain) environment is helpful.
- Experience working independently with experience working in cross-functional teams.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills are highly desired.
- Experience with technical presentations around architecture and design.

This job has a full time weekly schedule. It includes the option to work remotely. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
