At LGC, we invite an ambitious and highly capable IFS Solution Architect to join our world-class engineering team. This outstanding opportunity lets you play a key role in revamping our ERP systems and guiding future technological growth. You will lead the creation, governance, and development of ERP solutions across platforms such as IFS Cloud, IFS Applications 9, Cedar Bay, Codesoft, and Exstream. Your task will be to guarantee that technical solutions align with business needs by engaging in discovery meetings, peer reviews, and working alongside technical and functional teams!
We are looking for someone to coordinate the development of scalable and maintainable solutions to address the diverse requirements of the LGC Group. Ensuring alignment to regulations such as GxP and ISO is part of your role. You will also manage solution documentation, support change and project delivery, maintain configuration baselines, and lead the transition from legacy systems to new ERP platforms. ERP Systems Oversight
Direct and coordinate ERP solutions across multiple platforms:
- IFS Cloud
- IFS Applications version 9
- Cedar Bay
- Codesoft
- Exstream
Solution Build & Alignment
- Lead and engage in discovery meetings to ensure business requirements are aligned with proposed application solutions.
- Build solutions that reflect the diversity of the LGC Group, maintaining the ease of upkeep and reuse of current features.
- Apply a unitary approach to avoid duplication and promote consistency.
Development & Review
- Complete peer reviews of development specifications.
- Collaborate closely with the Technical Team to evaluate the viability of proposed solutions.
Change & Project Support
- Assist the Change Request process and project completion in both IFS Apps9 and IFS Cloud.
- Remain aligned with the IFS Cloud solution strategy and build LGC’s approach accordingly.
- Continue supporting IFS Apps9 until fully phased out, while facilitating IFS Cloud deployment.
Knowledge & Training
- Train the ERP team on managing Solution objects to ensure the Solution Definition reflects actual business usage.
- Provide mentorship and support to functional analysts, including training in tools and methodologies.
Documentation & Quality
- Develop and maintain documentation mechanisms for IFS and ancillary systems to meet validated process requirements.
- Use and improve tools to support Quality processes and ensure compliance with GxP and ISO standards.
Governance & Control
- Establish and manage Solution Baseline Management for IFS Cloud:
- Identify and control IFS Configuration objects.
1. Manage changes to the configuration baseline.
- Coordinate LGC process mapping using 2c8.
Collaborator Engagement
- Act as a representative of the business and ERP team in interactions with third parties.
- Keep up to date on all current and planned applications of ERP tools within both IFS Apps9 and IFS Cloud environments.
ERP Expertise:
- Proven experience in crafting, implementing, and supporting ERP solutions, particularly across platforms such as IFS Cloud, IFS Applications 9, Cedar Bay, Codesoft, and Exstream.
- Experience working with software development or systems engineering teams.
Solution Architecture:
- Strong understanding of solution architecture principles, including system integration, configuration control, and baseline management.
- Ability to build ERP strategies in alignment with evolving vendor roadmaps and organizational goals.
Business Process Alignment:
- Proven capacity to lead discovery sessions and convert business requirements into scalable and maintainable ERP solutions that address varied operational needs while preventing duplication of effort.
Documentation & Compliance:
- Adept at producing and sustaining solution documentation using platforms including ETQ and Test Monitor, informed by GxP and ISO standards pertinent to ERP systems.
Change & Project Management:
- Experience assisting with change requests and project implementation within ERP environments, including impact assessments, JIRA workflows, and peer review processes.
Collaboration & Leadership:
- Ability to collaborate closely with technical teams, functional analysts, and third-party vendors.

Technical Proficiency:
