Political Associates report to Regional Political Directors and play a key role in managing the flow of projects across an assigned subset of targeted House races. This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, thrives on tracking moving parts, and wants to learn how large-scale political advertising programs are built and executed in real time. Political Associates are at the center of HMP’s program, ensuring products move smoothly through internal processes — from legal and research review to compliance reporting — while helping their Regional Director stay on top of developments across their portfolio of races.
 
 
Duties & Responsibilities:
 
Coordinate and track products through internal approval processes and systems, including legal and research review, to ensure timely completion and delivery.
 
Maintain up-to-date trackers that monitor multiple ongoing projects and products across assigned races.
 
Monitor ad spending, polling information, fundraising reports, and news updates to support strategic and programmatic developments in assigned races.
 
Draft, edit, and update race review memos and presentations on a regular basis.
 
Provide administrative support for Regional Political Directors, including scheduling and reporting support for operations teams to ensure timely, compliant IE filings.
 
Support the Regional Political Director by keeping them informed of the status of deliverables, deadlines, and outstanding needs.
 
Partner with research and other internal teams as needed.
 
Qualifications:
 
Demonstrated commitment to advancing Democratic values and causes.
 
Prior experience working or interning in campaigns, political committees, consulting firms, or progressive organizations preferred.
 
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
 
High attention to detail and a process-oriented mindset.
 
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Google Suite; experience with project management or tracking tools a plus.
 
Clear, proactive communication skills and comfort working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

LOCATION:                  Washington, DC
START DATE:               August 2026
END DATE:       December 2026
TRAVEL:                       Little to no travel will be required
SALARY:                      $60,000 annualized
 
This is a temporary [cycle-based], at will position with an anticipated end date of no later than December 15, 2026
