Summary of Role:

This position will report to the IAM Development Lead, Enterprise Identity Management within the Identity & Access Management organization. The chosen candidate will serve as a Lead Developer and Implementer for SailPoint IdentityIQ, providing hands-on technical leadership for the design, development, implementation, integration, and support of enterprise IAM solutions. The role will focus primarily on SailPoint IdentityIQ, including custom application connectors, workflows, rules, provisioning, lifecycle management, access requests, certifications, and integrations with enterprise applications and infrastructure.

The candidate will lead technical implementation activities across the IAM environment, provide guidance to development and implementation teams, and work closely with application owners, infrastructure teams, security teams, business stakeholders, and technology vendors. This role will be responsible for troubleshooting complex IAM issues, driving root-cause analysis, implementing approved enhancements, and ensuring solutions meet enterprise architecture, cybersecurity, and SailPoint best-practice standards. This is a hands-on technical leadership position.

Responsibilities:

Lead the design, development, implementation, configuration, and support of SailPoint IdentityIQ solutions across the enterprise.
Manage source code, branching strategies, build activities, deployment packages, and release management for IAM solutions.
Install, customize, configure, upgrade, maintain, and support SailPoint IdentityIQ and related identity provisioning and governance technologies.
Lead the development of custom SailPoint connectors, rules, workflows, lifecycle events, forms, reports, tasks, transforms, and BeanShell/Java components as required.
Design and implement large-scale Identity and Access Management solutions using SailPoint IdentityIQ, with emphasis on enterprise application onboarding, identity lifecycle management, provisioning, access requests, access certifications, and governance.
Provide technical leadership throughout development, testing, deployment, and production implementation activities.
Perform advanced debugging and troubleshooting of complex SailPoint IdentityIQ, connector, provisioning, workflow, and integration issues, including interaction with technology vendors and implementation partners.
Lead requirements gathering and solution design activities by conducting technical workshops with application owners, business stakeholders, infrastructure teams, security teams, and onsite/offshore delivery teams.
Translate business and technical requirements into scalable, secure, and maintainable SailPoint IdentityIQ solutions.
Independently manage technical project deliverables from requirements and design through development, testing, deployment, and production support.
Interact with various client business units and application owners to drive IAM adoption, gather requirements, define integration patterns, and onboard applications into the enterprise IAM platform.
Lead the onboarding and integration of enterprise applications such as Workday, SAP, Active Directory, LDAP, ServiceNow, databases, Webservices and other business applications.
Implement and support Joiner, Mover, Leaver (JML) , access review processes, access request and approval workflows, provisioning/deprovisioning, account aggregation, entitlement management, and access review/certification processes.
Develop and maintain custom IAM integrations using Java, BeanShell, PowerShell, Python, Bash, SQL, REST/SOAP APIs, and other integration technologies as required.
Write and review code for IAM component integrations, including custom application connectors, rules, scripts, utilities, workflows, and supporting programs.
Provide technical leadership and mentoring to IAM developers and implementation resources, including establishing development standards and best practices.
Review technical designs and implementations to ensure solutions align with SailPoint IdentityIQ best practices, enterprise architecture standards, cybersecurity requirements, and least-privilege principles.
Interpret technical documentation and vendor specifications to drive the implementation and integration of new technologies and capabilities.
Lead troubleshooting of IAM system failures, integration failures, provisioning issues, aggregation errors, workflow failures, and performance issues.
Drive intake, prioritization, analysis, development, testing, and deployment of IAM bugs, fixes, enhancements, and technical debt remediation.
Champion problem management and root-cause analysis practices, ensuring recurring IAM incidents are documented and permanently addressed in collaboration with vendors and implementation partners.
Participate in production support for Severity 1/2 incidents, providing hands-on technical troubleshooting and resolution.
Ensure appropriate documentation of technical designs, configurations, integrations, deployment procedures, troubleshooting steps, and operational processes.
Promote secure development and operational practices, including least privilege, privileged access controls, bastion hosts, personal administrative accounts, secrets management, secure coding, and appropriate separation of duties.
Support and improve DevOps practices for SailPoint IdentityIQ, including Git-based source control, automated builds, CI/CD pipelines, testing, deployment, and release management.
Identify opportunities to improve automation, reliability, scalability, maintainability, and operational efficiency across the SailPoint IdentityIQ environment.
Collaborate with enterprise architecture, cybersecurity, infrastructure, application development, and operations teams to ensure successful IAM integrations and implementations.
Years of Experience:

Minimum of 7+ years of hands-on technical experience developing and implementing Identity and Access Management solutions, with significant experience in SailPoint IdentityIQ.
Demonstrated experience serving as a Lead Developer, Technical Lead, or Lead Implementer for enterprise SailPoint IdentityIQ implementations.
Strong hands-on experience with SailPoint IdentityIQ , configuration, customization, development, integration, troubleshooting, and production support.
Must have strong working knowledge of Java development, BeanShell, SQL, and object-oriented programming concepts.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, LDAP, identity lifecycle management, authentication, authorization, provisioning, and directory services.
Strong working knowledge of scripting using PowerShell, Bash, Python, and BeanShell.
Strong experience developing and supporting SailPoint IdentityIQ custom connectors, rules, workflows, lifecycle events, provisioning logic, reports, and integrations.
Experience integrating SailPoint IdentityIQ with enterprise applications and technologies such as Workday, SAP, Active Directory, LDAP, ServiceNow, databases, REST/SOAP APIs, and cloud applications.
Strong working knowledge of Git and source code management, including branching, merging, code reviews, and release practices.
Strong working knowledge of DevOps, Agile development methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and release management.
Experience with enterprise IAM concepts including Joiner/Mover/Leaver, access requests, provisioning/deprovisioning, access certifications, entitlement management, role-based access control, and identity governance.
Experience with SailPoint IdentityIQ upgrades, patches, application onboarding, performance tuning, and production troubleshooting.
Experience working in large enterprise environments with distributed onsite/offshore development and implementation teams.
Strong experience with technical documentation, solution design, requirements analysis, code reviews, testing, deployment, and production support.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with demonstrated ability to lead technical discussions, mentor developers, collaborate across teams, and communicate effectively with business and technical stakeholders.
Strong critical thinking, analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
Education:

BS or BA degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
In lieu of a degree, 5+ years of additional relevant IAM development and implementation experience may be considered.
